Education Projects in Museums and Impact in Tourism
Abstract
Abstract.
Purpose – This study examines the education projects in Museums and their impact on Tourism. The effect of education projects to promote cultural heritage is very important in society. Cultural heritage in the social development framework has begun to find support every day, therefore the treatment findings are an important place. Last year, not only schools but also a large number of institutions were working on cultural heritage education projects. Cultural institutions that have cultural heritage profiles are ready to implement education activities and open their doors for the education of generations, one of them is museums.
Design/methodology/approach – The author used a formal survey to collect data for this purpose topic. The sample consisted of 400 students from different schools in Kosovo and tourists who were present in museums. The filling of the questionnaires took place during the development of educational activities implemented in schools and museums in Kosova.
Findings – The results show that the impact of museums' educational work on Cultural heritage education is important. Consistent with the findings of this study, museums, and school managers should consider the influence of Museums on Cultural Heritage Education and can perform better. The development of educational projects in the museum will promote tourism because several tourists would visit Kosovo if they have early activity plans about educational activities in the Museum.
Originality/value – This study extends the current literature on Cultural Heritage, Education, and the impact of museums' activity on tourism.
