AİLE VE ÇOCUK DOSTU TATİL: GÜNCEL VE GELİŞMEKTE OLAN ARAŞTIRMA GÜNDEMLERİ (FAMILY AND CHILD-FRIENDLY HOLIDAYS: EXISTING AND EMERGING RESEARCH AGENDAS)

Abstract

Bu konuşmanın amacı aile tatilleriyle ilgili yapılan çok sayıda çalışmanın sonuçlarını, aile tatillerinin altında yatan aşırı sosyallik, aile birliği, kaliteli zaman geçirme ve çocukların sosyalleşmesi söylemlerinin nasıl batılılaştığını sentez etmek ve sunmaktır. Konuşma, sıradan tatil türleri ve geleneksel kitle turizmi çalışmalarını beraber ele almıştır. Önemli bulgular, örneğin, batılı bağlamda aile tatilleri, aile kimliğini ve bağını oluşturmada son derece önemlidir; aile zamanı ve çocukların kendi zamanı birbirine bağlıdır. Sosyal kimliklerin (devamında aile zamanıyla) ve daha fazla bireysel ilgilerin (devamında kendi zamanıyla) dengelenmesine fırsat veren zamanlardır. Daha sıradan türde aile tatilleri "bireysel zaman" ve yetişkinler için "eş zamanı"na daha fazla imkan vermektedir, çünkü çocuklar kendi zamanlarında güvenli bir şekilde olağanüstü fırsatlara ve diğer çocuklarla etkileşim imkanına sahiplerdir. "Gerçek, kaliteli aile zamanı" bütün aile üyelerinin dahil olduğu aile birlikteliği ve sosyal kalabalık anları arasındaki arasındaki değerli zamanlarda gerçekleşir. Konuşma aynı zamanda, turizm çalışmalarındaki sosyal dönüşüm ve aile tatilleriyle ilgili güncel teoriler tarafından henüz yeterince karşılanmayan araştırma gündemlerine işaret etmektedir. Bu araştırma gündemlerinden bazıları genişlemiş aileler (özellikle üç kuşak tatil ve büyük baba - büyükanne tatilleri) ve tatil yapmaları; şimdiye kadar çekirdek aileye verilen önem (böylelikle araştırmacılar çekirdek olmayan aileleri, tek ebeveynli aileleri, gökkuşağı aileleri vd. göz ardı etmekteler); turizm araştırmacılarının çocukların sesi olma ihtiyacı; batılılaştırılmamış söylemlerin geliştirilmesinin aciliyeti gibi konulardır.
